It sounds like the Vancouver Canucks have finally made their choice. Reports indicate that Manny Malhotra is in final contract negotiations with Canucks management to become the team’s next head coach. According to Elliotte Friedman, the deal is in the final stages, and it would be a "major surprise" if anyone else is behind the bench next season. In this video, we discuss why Manny Malhotra is the frontrunner and the only candidate for the job at this point and why Ryan Johnson and the Sedins view him as the "guy" to lead this young core. From his championship success with young players to his deep ties with current Canucks management, we break down why this is the culture reset Vancouver has been waiting for. The Manny Malhotra era is officially arriving. Is he the right man to fix the culture and lead the Canucks back to contention? Is he the coach this team needs, or is management playing it too safe?
