THE VANCOUVER CANUCKS ARE MAKING MOVES! GM Ryan Johnson just dropped a massive update following the firing of Adam Foote and the Canucks coaching staff. Is Manny Malhotra the next Head Coach of the Vancouver Canucks? And could we see a father-son duo in BC with Caleb Malhotra rising up the 2026 NHL Draft boards?
In this episode, we break down Ryan Johnson’s direct comments on:
✅ The search for a new Head Coach and the "serious conversation" coming with Manny Malhotra.
✅ Caleb Malhotra’s draft stock and how his father's potential hiring influences (or doesn't!) the Canucks’ 3rd overall pick.
✅ The "no sacrifice" rule Johnson has set for the Canucks' decision-making process.
✅ Why Caleb Malhotra has jumped into Top-5 discussions after an 84-point OHL season.
The overlap is impossible to ignore. With Manny Malhotra leading the Abbotsford Canucks to a Calder Cup and Caleb establishing himself as a top two-way centre, the Canucks find themselves in one of the most unique draft storylines in NHL history.
WHAT IS THE NEXT MOVE? Should the Canucks hire Manny? Is Caleb the right choice at 3rd overall?
